As reported in Time magazine, South Korea has implemented new restrictions in an attempt to cut down on video-game addiction among its students.
Underage students will now have to abide by a curfew for online play with a blackout period after midnight. In addition, connection speeds will slow after extended play at earlier hours. These changes may help the students to get a better night's sleep and follow guidelines to improve teen sleep.
The changes were prompted by a recent survey of 1,500 South Korean public-school students which found 29.3 percent showed signs of video-game addiction.
