Is Swine Flu Keeping You Up at Night?

With the incessant news of the spreading swine flu, you may find yourself feeling a bit more stressed. This added stress may lead to symptoms of acute insomnia, including:

  • Difficulty falling asleep
  • Difficulty staying asleep
  • Fatigue or daytime sleepiness
  • Poor attention or concentration
  • Mood changes (including worry or reduced motivation or energy)
  • Social or vocational dysfunction (including increased errors or accidents)
  • Tension, headache, or stomach symptoms

If these symptoms sound familiar, learn more about acute insomnia. For those who are feeling distressed, it may be helpful to turn off the news and take time to enjoy the activities you find relaxing. You'll feel and sleep better before you know it.

totally, I can’t sleep. Tossing and turning. ugghh. I was chatting with the folks over at live forever at http://letslivelonger.blogspot.com/2009/04/sleep-better-you-can-do-it.html and they gave me a number of remedies, some of which I think my be helping, increased exercise and some others. Thanks guys!
