Uses of Wild Cherry: Wild cherry bark is useful in the treatment of coughs. It also has a mild sedative effect.
Description of Wild Cherry: Wild Cherry trees grow from 50 to 80 feet tall. It grows in mainy parts of North America. The bark is rough and black and it produces red berries. It's also known as choke cherry because of the bitterness of the berries.
Dangers or Side Effects of Wild Cherry: Use in only medicinal quantities. Wild Cherry contains a cyanide-like poison. Never use when pregnant or breast feeding.
Available as: The bark of wild cherry is used in the preparation of some cough medicines.
