Mattress Genie adjusts your bed for a reasonable price. It elevates the upper body - you choose the height - and could prove helpful for anyone suffering from several sleep problems.

Ease Of Use

I've been using the Mattress Genie for almost two weeks, and, although I don't suffer from a health problems that would warrant its use, I still enjoy it.

It comes with some assembly required, but it's simple to put together. I managed it, and, believe me, I'm mechanically and technically challenged, so if I can do it, anyone can.

It's comprised of an air pump, a hose, and an inflatable air bag that fits under your mattress. There's also a hand control that inflates or deflates the air bag. You can use that while lying down to raise or lower the head of your bed.

Health Problems

The Mattress Genie could prove useful for anyone suffering from heartburn, indigestion, colds or the flu, allergies. Even snoring. My husband suffered from sleep apnea, and often got up in the night to sleep in his easy chair where he found it easier to breathe.

Mattress Genie could also benefit people suffering from various back injuries or neck injuries where lying down is painful. Sometimes sleeping in a different position helps to alleviate other types of chronic pain, such as that suffered by people inflicted with fibromyalgia. People who are on bed rest would find it a boon to the difficulty of eating a meal in bed.

Other Uses

But a person doesn't need to have a health problem to enjpy the Mattress Genie. I like to read in bed, and before I tried the Genie, I was forever trying to roll up my pillow to get into a comfortable position for reading. I also have a small TV at the foor of the bed. Mattress Genie makes it simple to sit up to see the screen.

Need a lower level? Use the hand control, press Down and hold the button until the bed is lowered to the position you desire.

Getting sleepy? Pick up the hand control, press Flat and let go. The Mattress Genie will deflate until the head of your bed is back in a mormal position.

Adjustable beds are a great invention. But, adjustable beds are also expensive. Mattress Genie performs the same job for less that a tenth of the cost.
