- Where there's music, there can be no evil.

Music is also important in the healing arts. Many practitioners of these arts use background music to help patients relax. Massage therapists, hypnotists, therapists and bodyworkers are all familiar with this technique. Dr. Weil's Sound Body, Sound Mind is a multi-faceted sonic tool for health, relaxation, and well-being. Deepak Chopra's The Magic of Healing Music designed to create harmony between the environment and the body, mind and spirit.
Modern day researchers have discovered a direct correlation between certain musical frequencies and brain wave patterns.By using music, they were able to increase learning ability and creativity, increase the amount of dream time, and deepen relaxation and sleep.
It's all tied into vibrations. You must feel the music as well as hear it. New age musician Deuter puts it this way: "You will experience the best healing results when you open up to listen not just with your physical ears, but when you start to feel the vibration of the music with your whole body and spirit."
The music you use to relax is a very individual choice.
For me, almost anything except hard rock will do. But my favorites are country - not the newer singers and groups, but the older classics - Willie Nelson, Sons of the Pioneers, Hank Williams. But I also enjoy fifties rock - the music of my misspent youth. Listening to The Platters or Chuck Berry or Fats domino brings back a million memories.
For others, it may be jazz or blues, hymns or gospel, bluegrass or folk. There's music to soothe and relax every musical taste. Different tones for different bones, I guess.
