New Web Site Features Planned for NSAW

Next week, March 29 - April 4, is National Sleep Awareness Week®, when the nation turns its eyes towards the importance of healthy sleep. NSF's Web site will have a new feature every weekday during NSAW. Watch for the following:

  • Monday, March 29-NSF holds its 4th annual Night of a Thousand Dreams Gala and will honor organizations and leaders in the sleep field.

  • Tuesday, March 30-NSF announces the results of the 2004 Sleep in America poll, which focuses on the sleep needs of children and their parents/caregivers. We will also learn who has won the Healthy Sleep Community Award for 2004.

  • Wednesday, March 31-NSF will partner with WebMD for a live chat on children and sleep. Pediatric sleep expert Judith Owens, MD, will answer questions from 12:00 Noon to 12:45 p.m. Eastern Time. Join the chat.

  • Thursday, April 1-NSF offers tips for parents of children with sleep problems, with a special announcement about a new Web resource that is coming soon!

  • Friday, April 2-How can you get adjusted to the change to Daylight Saving Time, when most people in the US will lose an hour that could be used for much-needed sleep? NSF has some suggestions.
