If you suffer from nasal congestion and snoring, you may be interested in learning about how to use a neti pot.
The neti pot is a traditional vessel that is shaped liked a flat, elongated tea pot. It is often filled with sterile water and a mixture of salt and baking soda. The neti pot is typically used for nasal irrigation to help relieve congestion associated with allergies, colds, and sinusitis. It may also help you to breathe more easily at night, improving snoring or your tolerance of sleep apnea treatment (called CPAP).
It is quite easy to use a neti pot. Once it is filled, you simply hold the spout against your nostril. You can tuck your chin against your chest and then breathe through your mouth. Next, you begin pouring the contents of the neti pot into your nostril. The water will flow out from the opposite side. Once you are finished cleansing the first side, you can then do the same on the other side.
Most people tolerate this treatment quite well and it can be effective in relieving your nasal congestion and associated snoring.
