A recent article in The New York Times explores what the perfect room temperature may be for sleeping.
Prior studies, including one from 1994, suggest that the optimal temperature is on the cool side, from 60 to 68 degrees Fahrenheit. In general, the core body temperature typically drops during sleep, and this may be better accommodated with cooler room temperatures.
